Thanks for the advice guys! :)

Got another bit done earlier, ie the waiste band on which also tidied up the lining.

End of the paper clips! :)

All three sections in place and side vents established...

Close up of the vent. Have yet to make up the straps and D rings...

Pity about the line of holes on the back panel from the original elastic, but I can live with them.

So far so good ;-)

Another little bit done...

The cuffs looked a little...bare and were a bit worn too, worn very thin on the edge in a couple of areas. So, I put a band on them to tie in with the waiste band...

Really makes a different, gives a more finished look I reckon. There are also close tabs incorporated that I'll put snaps on.

Guys, again thanks very much for your kind comments, its much appreciated, glad you are enjoying the thread almost as much add I'm enjoying working on this project..

As for taking custom orders.....not anytime soon I'm afraid :p

Swapped out the buttons today for a set of German pebble finish buttons, I guess they would be somewhat period correct (even if they did come courtesy of a DDR officers tunic :-D ). I like em though...

Have you found a buckle set for the waist? Interested to see what you scrape up for that. Like the new buttons way better. Great project to watch take shape.
