Hello fellow Aussie, do you know when she'll be at Myer? Are you talking Sydney or Melbourne?HadleyH said:The queen of burlesque will kick off Sydney's Rosemount Fashion Week on April 30 with an invitation- only strip at the Museum of Contemporary Art. She will also go to Myer's city store where she will sign autographs and present a check to a charity. All in a good cause says the newspaper.

I just got her book and it is great. Wonderful pictures of costumes. Her make-up is flawless.
Thanks for the information. I will try to make it. There is a vintage clothing fair on, so might not be able to make it. It would be nice to get my book signed, but ringing ahead would be a good idea. Thanks again..HadleyH said:Hello catsmeow!!!! I am talking Sydney indeed! According to The Daily ,Ditta is going to be at Myer City store on April 28th. Perhaps you should call the store beforehand to check the time, etc... Enjoy!!!!!!!
I guess that's part of her charm to mix eras. Dita is an entertainer and has to be creative. She does have a great vintage collection. I guess you can't be totally 100% vintage material. Dita is added her own ideas and styles to the different periods also. Anyway, I think she does it quite well. This would probably upset some vintage purest.Fletch said:Love, shmuve, Baron. It's just an awful mix of eras.
I believe that Fletch was referring her choice of spouses, not wardrobe.catsmeow said:I guess that's part of her charm to mix eras.
Sorry, I wasn't sure...:eusa_doh:Tomasso said:I believe that Fletch was referring her choice of spouses, not wardrobe.
Johnny B said:I got nothing against Von Teese, any girl that drives a New Yorker is good by me, but I'm always amused that apparently "burlesque" is a classier word for "stripper". "Oh no, I don't strip, I'm a burlesque dancer"
Yeah but you take off clothes for money
"Yes but"
and probably have bad daddy issues
But she's got a gimmick so hollywood latched onto her like a leech and now she's rich.

That was quite rude, especially when there's a few who are in or have been in that profession here.Johnny B said:I got nothing against Von Teese, any girl that drives a New Yorker is good by me, but I'm always amused that apparently "burlesque" is a classier word for "stripper". Don't be so sensitive. Everyone has a right to their opinion whether we agree with it or not.Jovan said:That was quite rude, especially when there's a few who are in or have been in that profession here.
