Did anybody see the DC-3 and the, AT LEAST, 13 WWII era fighters flying over the San Fernando valley today, Thursday? Being right near Burbank airport, and not to far from Van Nuys, I have become accustomed to recognizing the sound of vintage aircraft, which flies over at least a few times a year.
Well, today, I heard an engine, went outside and saw the DC. Moments later there was a ROAR as this squadron - most baring American markings, but some with German and Japanese - flew over at a strikingly low altitude! A few minutes later, they came over again! It was...stunning!
The only think I can think of is that it was for some movie being shot. I guess there are advantages to living in Hollywood sometimes.
