If only IH would stop turning everything into to a chore coat with pant leg length sleeves.
I second that emotion!
I found a couple of their jackets that fit well but the vast majority of their offerings are ridiculously too long for me. And that is saying something because I am 6’1” with a long torso!

Wow! This just radically changed my opinion on the type II. Very cool. Very, very, very cool.
I think the reason you like this one is because they raised the chest pockets up to approximately the same height as a type 3 jacket. I agree that it looks very cool, I’ve always been interested in the type 2 but I couldn’t get past those pockets that were halfway between the chest and the belly button.

You’re right!! Couldn’t put my finger on it but that’s totally what it is. Makes a huge difference.

Since those knife pleats the chest area is quite narrow at least on smaller size, so to have a real size pocket lowering them is the only way, the pockets on type 2 is a functional size unlike type 3 chest pocket not even movie ticket fit into it.
But i like the lower set pocket kinda look like aviation style to me

Interesting topic.
How roomy are type III's breast pockets in the rest of the world?

In my german market ones, I always got a packet tissue in my right pocket (closed!) and my keys in the left pocket (closed). Train tickets always in butt pocket.

Man, storebrand is my actual nightmare! :D

Bright blue stone type III for 40 bucks.
Absolut solid, clean quality, strong middle-weight Denim, excellent buttonholes, true-to-size.
This is definitely a quality-type III, seemingly passing a real quality-control!

Actually looks pretty good.

clean construction inside, perhaps the only difference to the usual type 3 is the facing being a separate piece sewn together rather than the front panel folded back, so your storebrand has extra row of stitching along the very edge of the jacket opening.

I chanced upon a vintage jacket and demin shop today and took a gamble on this SGD $40 OR USD $28.5 denim jacket.

The label was missing and so was any identifying tags.

The only clue I had was the button.

A Google search and I found out its from a Co called Samurai... I think.

Unfortunately it looks like nothing like their current designs and it's rather heavy at 828g.

Either I have high quality rip off or its a vintage jacket that's out of production.
Does anyone here know what I got?

Cheers
