Who makes or made this jacket and where is it available?I'm hoping this guy breaks me of the Trucker Jacket Syndrome. My case is mild compared to others, I
understand.

Sometimes it seems like there is more cool "American" stuff in Europe and Japan than here. Go figure.A Wrangler 111mJ with a modern side pocket for European market or more specifically outside US and Japan. It came out around 4-5 years ago. I remember seeing it on ASOS back then.

Very cool! Some pics and/or specs on your jacket would be great. I suspect that the one referenced above is longer than the original ones, but I like that.I own a very nice vintage example of this jacket from the early 1960's, and it's a terrific jacket. On top of that, you can see Steve McQueen wearing one. Marilyn Monroe wearing one. One is worn through the film "Bus Stop" by the lead actor. Chuck Connors wore one throughout the entire run of the TV series "The Rifleman." I also want to say that I think Paul Newman wore one in "Hud," but I'm not certain anymore.
I've owned the late 50's version, the early 60's version and a 1970's version. The quality of the latter two was noticeably better, in my opinion.

I like that.^ I have a sheepskin-lined from when before they were considered vintage.
I'd like to see that jacket.
Bitchin Bama!!My one and only. I usually stay away from Polo these days with the exception of RRL, if the price is right. Just too much branding. Found this Authentic Dungaree model; how many different lines do they have? Branding was subtle enough and the jacket was inexpensive. Picked it up almost two years ago. Denim is fairly heavy with a cotton blanket lining and quilted sleeves. Wasn't crazy about it being pre-distressed but it wasn't overdone. Weighs just under three lbs.
