Deep V-neck sweaters

For a while now I've been searching unsuccessfully for men's sweaters or sweater vests with a deep v-neck, deep enough to show a fair amount of shirt front and tie. They seem to have been fairly common in the '20s and '30s, judging by AA/Esquire illustrations and some Jeeves & Wooster episodes. Modern v-neck sweaters, though, don't have nearly large enough neck openings to be comfortable with a tie. Any thoughts on where I might find something like this?

I have such a sweater, it was made by lacoste, although I'm not sure the year. you could try e-bay.

Try the traditional Scottish makers such as Pringle and Ballantyne.

They were also common in the '70s and most of the '80s. Have you tried thrift stores?
