Yep. I weren't very old when Dallas was on, but even I remember that. lol

Seriously, though, will this even compare to the original? I know most rehashed things aren't as popular, but will this be? (Even with J. R.?)

Yup, I'm that close. It also explains the traffic in front of my office lately. There's quite a bit in the area these days, South Fork itself is right off the road and you can see the main house as you drive by.

I see Charlie's Angels is coming back as well, on ABC. That could be interesting!

Re: Dallas--- JR's looking pretty ancient now. I also wonder what happened to the Texas drawl on these folks?

Hi Justin,
When I first came to Texas in '83 we went on an 'opening day' dove shoot in what is now pretty much downtown Plano with Joe Harrington who owned all that land around there - the place has grown up a bit!

I Looooved Dallas, in fact it was reshown here a while ago and it was still great. The younger cast members of the new version all look very *generic*, very good looking, but not very individual. Or is it me just getting older?

The young people look generically good looking to the point of being average to ugly. Its so odd. The 'men' on the show look too polished, like they are from California instead of the south.

I'm not a soap opera fan so I really don't give a hoot, but will this be a continuation of the family with new youngins' or will this branch into a new family? Eh, I dont care either way.

Well, my family was a HUGE fan of this show back in the day, so I know every single one of us will be watching at least the first episode. I hope it's as good as it was, but I have my doubts [huh] I have to admit I'm pretty excited anyway :)

Shaky memory suggests to me that they did all have kids, so that would be a logical extension. Maybe we'll see a The Colbys style spin-off.
