CWU jacket fit

I know each manufacturer's version will have their own silhouette and fit, but un general for these, would you take your usual measurements (ie if your best fitting jacket is 22" pit to pit, thats what you go for) or would you size down given the general boxier cut? Would you ever size up?

I am not tall but even on my CWU fit to short, nice for cockpit or car drive , 25' back.
Other I found Long version fit better.
Roomy sleeves.

I think it’s an MA-2 flight jacket. Like an MA-1 but with different collar and pockets.
