The fact you pay just 20 euros doesn't mean they're not gonna last...and even if they will broke...well, they're just 20 euros ;) !!

True story. My favorite pair of shoes are going strong after 5 years of hard wear and I bought them from Target for $20!

A good place to shop for shoes that I think have a vintage look is the Walking Company. I have bought my wife a couple of pairs from them and I think they look great and offer some level of comfort. However, they do not come cheap unless you happen to get them on clearance. i bought her a pair of Vanessa recently and another pair that was very similiar to the Veronica.

Those shoes are by Sofft and have been around for a couple of years - they're pretty timeless in their look. Here's a couple of links with even better prices on the Venessa's (part of the fun is the hunt!):
$48.30 here:

$54.99 here: http://www.territoryahead.com/jump.jsp?itemID=6580&itemType=PRODUCT&code=GGLBST&cm_mmc=CSE-_-Google%20Products-_-womens|footwear-_-590894

She has the Black already but the brown is so vintage looking and wow what a deal. The other style that she has are called Gillian. I went to the actual Sofft website earlier this evening and they have a bunch of styles that I had not seen. Unfortunately my wife works in a hospital and does wear shoes like this daily. Thanks for the links.

At Van Haren, a Dutch (and very, very cheap) shoesture. Just 20 euros, haha! Hrm.. I wonder how long they'll last... ;)
I saw those shoes! Really cute. I bought a vintage-y pair at the same store for just 9,95 euros. with a bit of black shoe polish, they look really nice and old fashioned.

How is the fit on Fluevogs for a wider foot? I got some Christmas money and am thinking about getting these:

I'm not able to see the image, but I know Fluevogs to run anywhere from true to size to a full size smaller on my size 6.5 foot. Even when I read the reviews of others who bought the same shoe, it varies how the shoe fits for each person. What I've done before is email the company and ask for measurements and how they know the shoe to fit. They always respond promptly and kindly.

And I have to say, I used to think Fluevogs were just cartoonish all alone on the store shelves, but there's something about how the shoe actually looks ON the foot, that is very feminine and lovely.
:)

Any of the Aussie gals out there, can you tell me where you buy your shoes? I'm after some 40's styles that haven't got too larger heels. (Im too tall already!) I've seen some lovely styles online from the US but most don't ship to Oz. :(

They are gorgeous Lenore! You are one lucky girl. Your hubby has fabulous taste!

Linda, Ha! I have a wishlist in a spreadsheet form with items, store, price, and how frequently I would probably use said item. He knows better than to go shopping on his own!
