Those and others listed are all too small to actually get the big dollars. I mean who actually wears a size 8.5 today? ;) :p
To get money for shoes, they have to be flashy and not be plain like these are. The $400 pair was not your common shoe.
Live links are not posted so that some do not drive up their own auctions and it gives all a chance to get a deal without driving up the price needlessly. Everything goes for what it is worth---if it didn't then it would not wsell would it?

lol lol lol Gee, that might be the reason why they sold for so little right there.

Nah. Experienced eBay buyers check the women's section for miscategorized vintage menswear. I've gotten some amazing men's stuff that way, but not necessarily on the cheap. The competition also knows where to look; perhaps most Fedora Loungers don't? ;)

That's good. I like to share inside tips. It makes the market more informed, and therefore freer. Closed markets suck.

Absolutely, it's hard enough to find good stuff anyway ( for ease ignoring 99% of your posts in this thread). I've found fair isle sweaters in the womenswear dept. before and that's also where to look for Levi's spring bottom pants. Hard to imagine these being listed as womens shoes. Typing errors and the * asterisk search option have always been really useful to me.

the reason those nice shoes were listed in the women's is because they are A width, and the seller thought that the only way to sell these was to a woman. Silly reasoning, but I am pretty sure that is the case, as he gives women' size estimates.

There's been a lot of neat stuff on lately.

I won this vintage J.C. Penney trenchcoat a couple nights ago.

An awesome two-tone M43 style jacket. It shows a connection between the leisure/hollywood jacket and the M43 jacket that I'd always thought had existed.

Nice 3-piece belted back beauty.

A mothy belted back jacket that went fairly high for the condition.

There are few big time sellers in there who are selling stuff for less than half of what they used to. Man, the Rock N Roll and late 40's-50's markets are awful right now.

Massive price for NOS Weyenberg blue blue ...blue suede shoes. Blue suede shoes bring big money on eBay IMHO.

http://cgi.ebay.com.au/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=140365716631&ssPageName=ADME:B:WNA:AU:1123

One guy started the bidding and then it all broke loose.

Weyenbergs are usually a half size bigger than the tagged size.

Beautiful shoes.

I must say though, as a seller, I am shocked that a seller with shoes like this would not do a better job ascertaining size. Have a friend try them on. How hard is that?

You run the risk of an unhaappy buyer, and whoo knows how much more you might get from that one buyer who is afraid to bid unless he knows the size? maybe nothing more, but could translate into many dollars.
