Hey guys,
Been googling and searching and can't find any head shots, I am super torn between the Coober Pedy and the Banjo Patterson and was wondering if I could get some head shots.
Thanks

I love the opal in the hatband but worry about the 3.25 inches being a "cowboy" hat. The sand color one has me intrigued. Do you find it versatile?

I think they are both "cowboy" hats, but the Coober seems to be a bigger one. I have a Banjo that has had the brim trimmed to 2 1/2 inches to make more of a fedora look to it. But then I put on an old leather band and now it retains the cowboy look. More of a "cowboy lite" look. I've been thinking of getting a Coober just because it is so big and..."cowboy-y"

Its not that i am necessarily against cowboy looking hats, my snowy river is a 3.25 brim but i just want versatility

The bluegrass green works well with a lot of my stuff but the sand is definitely more versatile. I do love the larger brim on the CP though. The BP is definitely less cowboy-ish and I have gotten some "Indy" references when wearing it. People just don't really know what they're looking at most of the time so as long as you're happy with it, then go for it.

Those Coober Pedy's are way too clean to look Australian. Aussies wear a hat until it rots on the head.

This is a Coober Pedy that I've worn all over the world over the past 8 years. Complete with moth holes, grease stains, and amateurish crown alteration.

Which color is this?

I think mine began life as Santone Fawn, subsequently modified by rain, snow, sweat, oil, dirt, etc. I'm not sure about the color though because I got it somewhere in New South Wales and some of the shops in Australia have uncatalogued colors for some of their Akubras. Also there seems to be some inconsistency in a given color from one batch to the next.

I've seen the Sand colored ones too and they do look nice. Ditto the Sand colored Territory but it has a considerably larger brim.

I love the LOOK of the territory, but I just can't pull off anything really above 3.25 inches of brim, very excited to get this from Sam at EA and see how it looks in person. And it will be used outdoors and be a fishing, hunting, hiking hat so I am curious just how much I can change the sand color LOL

Just bought a coober of the bay. Looks like the brim is flat with a slight up turn to it. Anybody have any photos of a cobber with a flat brim? Watched a hats by the 100 video and the guy said some customers ask the coober to be flattened.

Here's mine. Flat with just a slight packer draw down in the front. I personally don't care for the extreme draw from & back. A lot of the look will depend on your physical size too.
