Comparing a repro A2 to the real thing...

I had a few minutes fun just laying my original 1942 Aero A-2 alongside a repro one by Aero Leather (Scotland). Both are well beaten up and buttery soft now. Interesting just to see to the eye how authentic the repro one is becoming!! (I'm not going into all the details of matching one against the other), but it's good to see that the 21st century Aero is starting to wear pretty similarily to the 40's one! (bear in mind that the dye shades on these two were not meant to be identical, but the leather is close!!
