Exceptionally high crown.
Strong resemblance to the Adventurer, no? Or Raider style hats.
I wish it was offered in a choice of colors.

That is a very nice looking hat, I like the higher crown. It is a 10x fur, which may take the quality level up there a bit, not sure how it would compare to the Adventurer, as I do not own one. However, for the price, I think it is a bargain.

I'm pretty sure that Jim at River Junction will make that hat in any color you ask for. I have three hats Bowler, and two western lids from him and always had great service!

Cool hat. Definitely my style. The whole 10X thing doesn't really have any meaning anymore, as far as identifying real quality. For the price, and they don't specifically say 'beaver,' I'll assume it's rabbit.

There are are couple of pictures, which I cannot upload from "those people" due to rights being reserved, of the real Mr. Barrow wearing a very high crowned fedora which was more likely the inspiration for this hat.

You know, Major Moore could make one like this ...

That "Clyde Barrow" hat looks a little bit like a brown rendition of Lee Keppler's "Train Traveller" hat from Beaver Brand?! In fact to me -- several of R.J.'s cowboy hats have sort of a Beaver Brand Hat "look" about them?!

I always liked that lid! I remember when you got it from M.M. It had such a great backstory, too!
