Cleaned out my closet today...

I sold 10 navy blazers/sportcoats/odd jackets and 10 pair of wool trousers to a gentleman who just got his first "coat and tie" job and needed a wardrobe...these are items I rarely wear and I figured he needed them worse than I did...it started out as a simple craigslist ad to try to unload a navy blazer or two, and snowballed into this. I only charged $200 for the whole lot, and truth be known, I probably broke even, or might have made a buck or two. What it has done is freed up closet space so I can buy "new" stuff...most of my clothes come from thrift shops anyway.

I plan to hit the thrifts this week and start rebuilding...

I work 6 days a week in charcoal gray suits, I don't get much chance to wear my other items, so I can take my time and accumulate some neat stuff.

I cleaned out my kitchen cupboard the other day: I took a bunch of plastic grocery bags to a library for patrons to carry their books home.

A few years ago, I cleaned out my office closet and ended up with a living room full of boxes I took to Goodwill. Within a few days, I couldn't even remember what I gave away.

I'm in a mode where I've gotten rid of or sold all sorts of things in the past year, it feels good to be unencumbered with a whole bunch of meaningless effluvia.

I USED to hire a real irish man name was tony fowley to drop a 22 foot dumpster off his 1976 ford Louisville truck. I USED to fill it full, every year but tony died so its not the same anymore. I am in the repair business and i usually have a lot of old junk , parts machines and the stuff , packing etc. So i really need to fix up must sign off 59LARKfftopic:
