We haven't received our Summer CS yet...but...

Lady Day received hers here in SF and she was kind of enough to come to the tiki bar with us and we read through it. It lets the edge off until we actually get ours, which ironically we got the last issue on Saturday. ;)

We'd like to envision that this is how we'd look if we had ours, sans tiki drinks of course. BTW, nice layout and wonderful content. You guys out did yourselves this round MK.

VERY VERY nice issue!

A friend of mine and I were looking over the issue and we thought a good series would be vintage ads with whatever goods/service offered, and then their modern take/equilivent side by side.

But this issue was great! Very solid yay!!

I'm not sure that Allen Edmonds needs the help but the article by Fred H. Hutchison is excellent. (One glitch, the McClain is on pg 45 not pg 39). Another way to secure a 'good buy' is on EBay or other such websites. Not only can you find Allen Edmonds shoes, if you do a little homework, you can find a pair to refurbish and end up with a great pair of shoes at less than 1/2 full retail. This is also true for other brands but the only other maker that I know of that refurbishes is Johnston and Murphy.
I also enjoyed Ron Magid's article on Aloha shirts. I have a few as well as more modern shirts made of Rayon or Rayon blends. These can also be found on Ebay as well as Hilo Hattie and other websites. The best chances on Ebay are usually west coast sellers.

Allen Edmonds article.

The Allen Edmonds article was great. I've had the pleasure of working with them for several years now. Not only do they have a great product. But their customer service is second to none. The people of Allen Edmonds are absolutely customer service driven.
Thanks Classic Style for a great article about a great company.

And thank you Mr. Mathis for the excellent ads. I think my new favorite ad of all time is your ad at the ball field. Most delightful.

Thanks Travis. That means a lot to me. Our ad's are like our window displays. We think of a theme, then we run with it. So far so good. Thanks again buddy for the feedback.

I also want to congratulate Marty on his 2 great advertisements in the summer issue. They are absolutely superb. Your business will go through the roof when you get your website.

Also, loved the Allen-Edmonds article. For those in Los Angeles/Orange, the company is planning to open a store at the South Coast Plaza in July.

Finally, I want to second the letter written by Bryan Jones (page 17-18). I also didn't like the article "jumps" in the 2nd issue. Glad to see CS return to its orginal format.

All in all, a great 3rd issue. Keep up the good work.
