Have you ever watched some of the old car rally's? Endurance Rally Association or the Peking to Paris rally? There are some guys who still drive these old Bentleys in them. Very cool! They are definitely not thousanaires!

Ever think or reloading yourself? It’s not that difficult.

For the SMLEs, I really like the .303 British. Excellent round. I also have a 19th century Martini-Enfield in this cartridge. Great fun!

I did some years ago and have just started getting back into it. However the current ammo panic has me focusing on some more mundane cartridges.

The .303 is a great round. I have my local gun dealer looking for a sporterized Enfield this weekend at the gunshow. It will be the basis for a Lee Speed clone. I have never found one at the price/condition point that I was willing to pay...at least when I had the $$.

.32 Remington... that is an odd one to find. Have you tried your hand at reloading?

As to 'common sense'... it's becoming just as rare as those .32 Remington rounds!!

Actually a guy on another board is sending me SEVEN .32 Remington rounds. Another guy sent me around 20 .30 Remington cases. Apparently they can be expanded to .32 Rem. That is a project for the future. I need to get some more experience at it first.

When I was in Morocco a few years ago, we saw part of an annual rally that was for old Renaults. It was a charity thing to raise money for school supplies for Moroccan kids. It was pretty cool to see these people old French cars, all rallied up, in the Atlas mountains and the desert. There were no old Bentleys though, unfortunately.

ROTFLMAO!!! Real men drive a stick!!! It's sad that driving a stick has become something of a lost art here in the States.

Most are at least use to seeing a gear shift; only a few recognize the button, but most are confounded by the other two levers. Just wait till the 4th one is added!!!

Forgot to post these...

Was asked to enter Grover in or town's annual Spring festival - there are no vintage 4×4s, just modern ones, most of which are jeeps. Ended up winning the 4x4 category.

I wasn't able to do justice to the display I wanted due to lack of time and space, so I just tossed in a few old crates and such. The big crate is actually stores items such as recovery gear, tools, jacks, jack stands, assorted parts, engine oil and gear oil as well as other items. You can see the vintage water bag hanging from the mirror - didn't even think to lay it out in order to get rid of the folds - D'oh!!

Hopefully next year's will be better... the trop top will be on it by then, but not sure if the roof rack will be on or not.

Hopefully I'll have a more traditional safari chair and table.

Grover is a Station Wagon, so it doesn't have a tailgate. Since I would be driving with items in the back, the law required one - so I built this one out of wood. Turned out to be a hit and makes it look more 'complete'. The plan is to install an actual tailgate when the top is off, but now I don't know, I kinda like this one. Was really surprised that everyone like that it was lower than the rest of the back end.
