What, you weren't aware that the Queen City had a subway system? Well, they started building it, and quit part way through. Some of the tunnels are still visible...

Some of the tunnels are clearly visible, but I grew up seeing them and never gave them a thought until I was an adult. There are also the remnants of old rail tunnels in the hills surrounding Cincinnati.

One has to wonder how differently Cincinnati would have developed if the subway had gone into use.

Never had a clue that Cincinnati began building a subway.

Many years ago I was amazed to discover that Toronto (where I live) has a large completed section of subway tracks with station that was never opened for public use. It's only used for movie, tv and music video shoots through the TTC.
