Does anyone have information on charm schools from the 40's and 50's? All I can think of is girls walking with books atop of their heads to learn good posture.

There was a British TV series several years ago about an English finishing school in the 50s. It was very well done and very funny. Unfortunately, I can't remember the title. someone else here may know.

Magazines such as Mademoiselle always had ads for charm schools in them in the 40s-50s if I recall correctly...that might give you some names to go on?
