it's a heavy clay beer bottle with a maker's mark, appears to be marked

Yorkshire? with some other words, hard to read

it 's also marked "Glasgow" in the center of the oval maker's mark

possibly from Glasgow Scottland?

8 3/4" in tall

how old would you say this bottle is? I heard clay beer bottle became obsolete by the 1890's era? in the USA

any old bottle collectors here that know when this was made? :)

Wow! You come up with some good mysteries.

lol Can't say as I know anything about your particular bottle, but I do know that some beers still do come in pottery bottles similar to that one. I bought a bottle of St. Sebastiaan dark ale from Belgium a while back that was similar. Also I think they had some beers from The UK that still have that type of bottle. Mine has paper labels on it, so maybe yours did at one time also? [huh]
