They may be 80/20 rabbit to beaver. My assumption was you meant it was 80 /20 beaver/rabbit. It definitely is not that. That is the typical staple body and for $175 I'm certain it is a staple body.

It's possible the "1957 Legend" that used an Adventurebilt Raiders block was 50/50, but I think his standard body was 80% rabbit and 20% beaver. Mine is a nice thick felt that has become soft, but firm with time. I don't have any complaints about mine, and I think it was worth the $175. I have several Akubras, which I also like, but the Metro is a step up IMHO. I don't have a Fed DLX which might be just as good, but at the time I bought the Metro the exchange rate wasn't as favorable as now and they were about the same price.

While not everyone was happy with their Camptowns, the real problem seemed to be delivery time.

What did you find wrong with the hats? I don't have one, I'm just curious.

I can PM you when you get 15 posts or I can post my reasons here if you wish. I have no problem talking about hatters/ hats that I am pleased with but tend to just stay out of the conversations involving ones I would not purchase either for the first time or again.
