It's possible the "1957 Legend" that used an Adventurebilt Raiders block was 50/50, but I think his standard body was 80% rabbit and 20% beaver. Mine is a nice thick felt that has become soft, but firm with time. I don't have any complaints about mine, and I think it was worth the $175. I have several Akubras, which I also like, but the Metro is a step up IMHO. I don't have a Fed DLX which might be just as good, but at the time I bought the Metro the exchange rate wasn't as favorable as now and they were about the same price.
While not everyone was happy with their Camptowns, the real problem seemed to be delivery time.
