If you sunburn easily I would look into clothing that blocks UVA/UVB rays. REI has a very informative article on the subject:

Note that UPF is specifically designed for clothing and unlike SPF, specifically includes both UVA and UVB protection.

Others:
Check out Sierra Trading Post, Cabella's, REI, Duluth Trading, etc. for deals. Some of this stuff is going to look more vintage than others. You can also buy clothing with insect repellent built in, and also with both sun and insect protection. Again, it's up to you and whether you feel you burn easily or not. While I love the vintage look, and it is possible to get adequate protection with vintage or vintage-style clothing, sometimes you might want to go modern.

My sister, myself, my fiance, and her sister were all planning on a trip to Petra this last summer, but... let's just say life checked in. $$$$ Now, my fiance and I are planning to go there on our honeymoon, but I would sincerely enjoy looking at a "Lounger's" pictures from such a trip... Did you go "white explorer" or more "local Arabian"? a mix?
