Importing leather from Japan 30% duty price plus 20% tax. for the UK. Give it a whirl and see if you sneak through customs.

That seems quite steep for a G-1, no matter who made it. For that kind of money I would be ordering something custom from Himel Brothers

Personally I would be unlikely to pay that for any jacket - regardless of who made it. For a G1? Surely you can get a really cool G1 for a fraction of that?

It seems very difficult to find online the UK Custom tariff of 30% on leather jacket. I got directed around the site to the final of 4% on leather apparel. Does the Gov't deliberately hide the tariff rate and/or mislead people?

I’m seeing a 4% import duty plus 20 % VAT. This is more in line with my experience.

I bought a leather iPhone case from Vaja in Argentina a while back. It was half price. After tax and import duties I saved myself about £5.00. could have bought it from Vaja Spain and saved all the hassle.
