I picked up the black cotton trousers that I had her make me for work. I am quite pleases with them. There are a couple issues, but nothing too troubleing. I left her the fabric & some garments to use as a reference along with some directions. I think I am going to be very happy with what I pick up.

I tried on the pants & vest this evening. While not perfect, I am pleased eith them. The seamstriss usually does womens & childrens clothing, not mens, let alone a suit. When she made the vest, she made the front pieces then sewed on the lapels. I know that that is not the proper way but for as little as I have into this, I am not going to complain.

Thank you everyone for the show suggestions. I have decided to go with these for footwear.

I now need to go know some other things, such as how much longer to make the pant legs for a proper 2 inch external cuff & how wide the lapels should be on the waistcoat & suit coat for a proper late teens, early twenties suit?

Thanx!!!

The boots that you finally decided upon, what brand, how much? Interesting! If you're looking for some good quality woolen twill in heavy weight, I might know where you can acquire some. It's 1960s dead-stock, gorgeous! used to be $60 a yard back then. I got it for about eight or 15 I think. I can get more, I don't want to use up my supply as it's for a piece of historical clothing that I'm making up. Anyway, thought it might be interesting to you. Also, try the suiting patterns from that one site.....Reconstructing History. Good stuff, that. Take care! Also, caramel suede monk-straps or wing-tips or mid-night blue suede wing-tips or tan shoes of any variety would look Amazing with a burgundy suit, as would a pair of tan and white or ivory spectators. till later sir!
