Bright Shoemakers – HOBO Combat Boot (EU 42, fits ~EU 43 / US 9)
Letting go of a pair of Bright Shoemakers HOBO Combat Boots that unfortunately never made it into my regular rotation. They’re size EU 42 but fit like EU 43 / US 9. Condition is excellent with very minimal wear.
Retail was around $580 USD.
The HOBO model is built on one of Bright Shoemakers’ newer lasts that’s slightly bulkier and more curvy, with a chunkier heel and a subtly bent toe box, giving the boot a nice vintage / worn-in profile straight out of the box. The overall build is quite substantial with a 9-eye shaft, vintage gold eyelets and speed hooks, leather laces, chunky storm welt and a curvy logger heel.
Leather is a vegetable-tanned hide with a subtle grain, the kind that should develop a great patina with wear. Construction is Norwegian welted, and they’re handmade in Spain at a 109-year-old family-run factory, with traditional shoemaking methods and a very involved production process.
Really solid heritage-style combat boot with great materials and construction. Only selling because I simply have too many boots and these didn’t get worn. Happy to provide more photos if needed.
