Found thise one recently, I think 1930's. Still in a perfect condition except for the blue dye which has faded. But I think I actually prefer it like that! The weave is lovely too.
Pretty excited about this; I just got this whole box of early 20's bow ties. Including a bunch of 'jazz bows'! Some do have fraying to the silk, but most are fine. The metal clips are really tight though, I'll have to carefully bend them a bit for them to able to put them on.
Although it's long ago I have to agree with all the others: these find is marvelous, Dostioffsky!
Here's what I got today:
very small (3 1/7" x 2") pre tied bow tie - green with white dots - unfortunately a bit fadet and dirty
20's? 30's? I don't really know. Any thoughts?
After work today I stopped by a large indoor flea market/tag sale/thrift store. I found a 1960s summer sport coat but sadly it was for a taller than average person. Fortunately, I stayed and found two 1950s/1960s bow ties.
Late 50s/60s clip-on bow tie. Yellow diagonal stripes.
