Borsalino sale - seeking opinions on their wool felt hats

Hello everyone,
looks like Borsalino is running a summer sale. I am looking at their Ricky wool felt model for a throwaway hat. Does anyone have experience with their unlined wool felts? I wonder If the felt is soft and pliable (something I could drop in my motorcycle saddlebags on the way to the office), or more rigid. Also, how does the quality of the wool compare with similarly priced US products (like the stetson whippet in wool).

Here is the hat: https://www.borsalino.com/us_en/ric...yquGbZudXR1cZNgHf1B2x8gxEqyqHwtRoC_18QAvD_BwE

I think any fedora you stuff in saddlebags will soon resemble a hat you are sleeping in. Why not go for a Newsboy cap? They can be thrown about and take the abuse.
