I never knew this, it does make sense after I tried it with victory rolls. I've alwalys used bobby pins zig-zag up because the flat side looked longer.

I did it this way for the same reason. Also, I don't think what is said in the link is true, that "it looks better" with the flat side on top.
Anyway, I'll give it a try. As usual, I'll do it the way I like it better, not necessarily the way it's supposed to be done. Little bit of an anarchist, I am
