Good day all,
I'm looking into acquiring a pair of boat shoes for the coming summer. I want a good quality shoe that will last. I think I've narrowed it down to two possibilities, but would like to hear your input on them before I make a decision.
Option 1: Allen Edmonds Eastport - http://www.allenedmonds.com/aeonline/producti_SF43502_1_40000000001_-1
Option 2: Sebago Schooner - http://www.sebago.com/US/en-US/Product.mvc.aspx/8853M/11746/Mens/Schooner?dimensions=0
I know Allen Edmonds is a well respected brand but the Eastports are one of their non-American made shoes and are not recraftable.
I don't really know anything about Sebago other then that they are apparently known for their boat shoes. I believe I read that they are also not manufactured in the states. Another very minor consideration is that I will be wearing the shoes with socks (even if just a no-show liner sock) so I'm not sure how that could influence sizing.
Thanks!
