blotches on jacket

Need the pros for this one....got my girl a quality black leather moto jacket last year, the question is...white blotches all over it. Not real noticeable, but you can see it. Wooden hanger, no plastic, ventilated area. Any ideas? Im going to my leather store tomorrow for some saddle soap to see if that helps. Thanks.

Could possibly be cologne or maybe hairspray ?[huh]

How could we possibly know what it is? The possibilities are endless. Before you use saddle soap which can discolour leather why not use a damp rag with ordinary soap?

I did...seemed to help, but i don't want to dry it out or damage it is why i figured saddle soap. Isn't it made for leather?

As Seb says, white blotches could be anything. The leather store should be able to tell you, and once you know exactly what it is, you can design a remedy. Before you know what it is, everything is speculation.

Did it get stored anywhere really cold?

Sometimes fats in the leather can be forced out by extremes of temperature. Can look like mould or bloom.
