Mr Porter have made a video about the Japanese leather jacket brand Blackmeans. It's probably not to this forum's tastes, but I figured it might be of interest.

The tweed is a great idea. I've always loved the look of it on old amps and Fender cases. Looks perfect on that jacket.

I find it funny that they're selling you a 2000$ suede jacket distressed in ways that non of my 70 year old jackets have been worn. I have 3 suede vintage jackets and none of them show any damage like that and they are worn quite a lot. You're basically buying damaged goods. Same with the ironed and sanded leather.

I like the jacket but the over the top video...ugh. Just a simple description/ philosophy and let the jacket speak for itself. Sometimes saying nothing says it all or a picture is worth a thousand words etc.

Dude, it's the me all the time online generation. Literally obsessed with posting up pics of themselves or vids, or whatever. Need constant attention. Jacket is still cool

Have known Blackmeans for a while, some of the jackets are really cool but others are way over the top. Even for the supposedly late 70's punk vibe they claim.
