Any idea on the date of this? Is the 44 inch chest size right? Finally, I presume the "mottled" look on the full length photo is just the way it photographed... correct?

Tough to measure the pit-to-pit due to its bulkiness. It fits me fine and I'm definitely a 46L.

No idea on the date, sorry.

Mottled look is from hanging in closet too tightly between other jackets; that's easily remedied with an iron.

Everyone knows these are nice coats, in fact the style is so good and it is such a classic that therein lies the problem. They are very common, I would say almost over worn, and most people who want one either have it already or are looking for the older models.

I know when I put mine on I sometimes bring out the Basque beret and secretly fantasize that I'm walking along with David Niven, Gregory Peck, and Anthony Quinn on our way to blow up The Guns of Navarone.

At any rate you have such a good price on this one that it is truly a steal. I am sure it will sell.
