That looks like a nice jacket. If you are in southern Illinois, Winter is a ways off. If in the northern part, say around Rockford or Woodstock, it should start cooling down in a couple of months. Then you can start wearing it some to stretch the torso, which appears to be a little tight on you, although many of our riders here like that type of fit. You could layer under it to accelerate the process.

I agree with you, I wouldn't get rid of it.

Great jacket Terry. It looks like a good companion to your GWs. You guys really need to stop fussing about your ages. Forever youthful wearing that thing.
Hey, it's not us that makes us feel old, it's everyone else. My kids get mad at me too for saying stuff like that and it's hard not to feel like an outsider when you get past 50. Society is just fascinated with youth, and it has a way of bringing you down at times...
But you're right @nick123 - eff 'em. Great jacket. Viva le old guys!

I never understood this fascination with youth as there's literally nothing good about it, until I got old enough to realize it's all just marketing. Because young people tend to buy everything due to not being very smart.

It's a great jacket. Really beautiful leather.

Though I think the pocke...

My favorite jacket as well. I'll get some pictures of mine up at some point and show you how the hide is breaking in.

Still think this is the most accurate repro of this jacket out there.

I need to loose a little mid section. Nice to have a few smaller to fall back on or get in. Another lame excuse to own too many Jackets!

I think it is too. I can put it next to my Vintage Californian and they are very similar. I look forward to seeing your jacket. I had not seen another. I've only worn mine a couple of times for pics/videos. perfect leather weight and feel. Don't know what horsehide it is.

Thanks Terry! The jacket looks great!

Just had to put in on.
