Hello. I know I'm resurrecting an old thread, but I have a little input into the BK Durable. It's patterned after an original Durable One Star that I own and loaned to BK so that they could make a copy of it. My payment was the first replica they made.
It's a really nice jacket and I'm including pics here of the original and the new one.

Super nice jacket.
BK makes really nice jacket. And I must say, the black liberty is by far the best black hh I've ever seen in my life. It's soft and thick, and the grain is just amazing. On the other hand, the black shinki I have is different, its too smooth and shinny, the coating give it a plastic feel IMO.

But the dark seal liberty HH I own is not as good as the russet, seal and black one, and is very different from the current batch, which is much nice.

I remember your jacket from the filmjackets.com thread! :D You have several, right? One was fantastically restored. Anyway, the sleeve zippers on Brando jacket are SO weird... They're on top of the sleeves but are also sorta on a side of the sleeve. I could never figure that one out.

The zippers are interesting. Essentially there are two seams on the sleeves and the ones on the Durable are on the opposite side from where Schott puts them. Several other jacket makers put the zippers there, but the zippers on the Durable are a bit longer than most.

Hi, would you say the BK/Original is a slim jacket? You look pretty thin, I’m not sure how I can ever fit in either

It's a pretty slim fitting jacket, I was around 170lbs in the picture, 39" chest, 33" waist.

Hi there, assuming you're talking about the Bill Kelso One Star, why do you hope that ?

I guess I must've been a bit angry when I posted that but mainly, because BK has displayed some rotten and toxic behavior at the time.

I'm sure the jacket is great, though.

I am looking at BK's archive line photos. Aren't those the same as Lightning Archives Leather Jacket book? So I guess we can order anything from the Lightning book.
