I don't know........Deckard hasn't posted any pics in a few days. He usually hits it a couple of times a day. Maybe he's just taking advantage of the monsoons for some of that rain testing[huh]

As I mentioned earlier That add was for Stetson.com a independent online retailer working under licence from Stetson USA in New York. It really is not Matt's place to get involved on a forum like this on a issue with another licencee. The add was pulled and I am sure that Hatco and Dorfman heard the outcry

It's been very interesting to watch the change in the Trinity River in Ft. Worth during this month.

When we moved here in early March, the river was like a skinny lake - hardly any flow. Now it is very high and a heck of a lot of water flowing through it - in Mr Deckard's direction.

In the past, floodwater from the river has caused large areas of Fort Worth to be underwater, but the Corps of Engineers has done a lot of work in recent years. I'd say it was very successful.

And Matt was strangley silent on an issue. PERIOD. An issue abt a company that is a Stetson Licence. ESPECIALLY becuz of the "stampede." After all, aren't we ALL FOLLOWERS of his every word...? Its a company STETSON, that LICENSES another company... REPRESENTING Stetson and their products. And isn't Matt representing Stetson Hats also...to us here on The Lounge? As I said, it's NOT about the "stampede." ONLY abt what I considered a "strange silence..." IMHO.

Silence in reference to flooding and concern for his well being..........NOTHING to do with some ad that doesn't even exist any longer.

With any luck, he's more worried about any employees of HatCo affected by the flooding. Even if the factory is OK, that doesn't mean some of the folks down there aren't having a bad time.

Good luck to all who were or are threatened by the flood.

We hope to hear from Matt Deckard when he has something to share - like that they came through the storms without trouble.

Hatco...?
My brother lives just south of Garland, and it was mainly just a rain event. A continual rain event.

My cousin, however, lives in Midlothian, south of Dallas, near where that dam nearly broke. Her empty 6 foot pool filled up and began overflowing over the course of one evening. Unbelievable.
