hey fedora gang
here's one fine lid that was entirely custom made a little while ago by the very talented Esther Weis (stalwart member of this vernerable forum)
it's a Bogart/noir inspired lid without a liner with a bound brim, 5 1/2 " crown (open) and 2 3/4 "brim, with a very beautiful bow work on it as you can see
the ribbon is black and 2 " wide
the rabbit
felt is from the 40's era as Esther told me, and is very soft and very pliable
it's got a rich chocolate Brown hue (not as reddish as the pics show)
i'm getting rid of a few lids and i never could really warm up to the bound brim (i 'm much more of a raw brim guy actually)
very light weight, very snazzy, virtaully unworn and comes from a smoke free interior
looking at 120 dollars plus shipping for this baby
