My favourite LW to use on the bike is a dual hide, moose body and horse arms. (moose is very much like deer)
I like it because you get the comfort and pliability of moose in the body, but the waterproofness and protection of horse in the arms.
To me it is the best of both world, and i would recommend it if you are putting together a jacket dedicated to riding.

I would imagine thick goat would behave similarly to moose in this respect, with high strength and abrasion resistance plus pliability. Maybe LW’s goat could fit the bill for OP.

To answer you, I actually received my speed demon. I find it magnificent but very rigid. Much more than my Schott 618. I would like a LW that is easier to carry, and not just on a motorcycle. I saw deerskin on Stu's site which seems easier to wear, especially for work or everyday life. In green it’s even crazier!

I got a new LW jacket recently too and yes, it's very rigid. (Not sure what weight HH you got) Please wear it in the rain and wear it often. Even at home if you can, as dumb as that might feel. It already relaxed a lot in just 1 week. Huge difference.

Voici mes mensurations:

Shoulders from behind: 50CM
Chest: 111 CM
Arm length: 57 CM

Ne pensez-vous pas que la taille 44R serait préférable?

Merci pour votre retour!
Ami, mes amis français, avec vos mesures, la taille 42 vous va mieux
Salutations, de Californie.

Stu uses the good old method for sizing people. I do not know how he does it, but his patterns work for his fitting guidelines and advice. He dialed me perfectly. No problem there. In the past, I had concerns with the prices for some of his extra charge for shortening the sleeves one inch. I do not believe I asked for something unreasonable? Truly do not believe after all this year's of making jackets he will be making a unique dedicated sleeve pattern just for my order? However, I do love his jackets. In the past, I overlooked those important price details. As I stated before, if you are not careful with all those extras for NOS crown/talon zips, the price can go as much as $700 boners. No hate for those zippers. Personally, I like the nickle plated Coats & Clark #10 produced in the 70s. I have never seen any of them in LW jackets. They function as good as the old ones, but the nickle finish looks so much better (vanson used as well as other companies) Granted, they both are top of the line, but for me, I would take the Big talon or the big RiRi over any of the big crowns.

I'm just saying to myself that I'm going to order a leather togs A just because Stu risks quitting his job. I can't think of any other jacket that pleases me so much.

Here is the J24 if you are curious

The leathertogs A and B are my favourite on the motorbike, they give me the best range of motion
[COLOR=var(--YLNNHc)]Amazing ! does the leathertogs A seem shorter? why do you prefer it on the bike? Is it the 3oz or 4oz leather?

My choice will be the leathertogs A, I am hesitating between a horse leather that is finer than my Speed Demon or a deer leather for more flexibility.
