^^ Cool yeah I just saw those. It's a nice, clean look here - except for those unfortunate snaps staring straight up into space that look really out of place at this point.
Thats exactly why I want to replace epaulets. I couldn't pass on this jacket because I know that the hide is exceptionall on these jackets, its a really nice heafty horsehide that really has a pleasant smell. I personally haven't experienced a similar hide on any jacket ever.^^ Cool yeah I just saw those. J, Congrats on your cool jacket! I can see that the next time someone asks me to take off their belt and epaulets that I should keep them! To make new ones for you, I rather doubt I could match the leather in your jacket, or the buckle. Wish I had a better answer! DenaHey guys, I have a question and I look forward to all the responses and hopefully someone with experience with this issue will share.
So I bought a perfecto because I have been wanting one recently. I found a cool jacket for a decent price. The only downside is that someone cut the belt and epaulets off. I want to know if its easy to re- attach or a big job? Another thing is who to ask to fix it? Johnson leather? Dena? Or would schott do it?- it is a perfecto? I await for opinions/advice. Thx
Np. Matching the leather is the hard part i have learned.J, Congrats on your cool jacket! I can see that the next time someone asks me to take off their belt and epaulets that I should keep them! Schott replied today and said they could fix it with matching leather so I will be sending it off. I think it would look good with half belt, with no belt, or even better attach a loop in the back an have a removable belt optionIf Schott can replace the epaulettes that’s an easy fix. I’d have them remove the belt remnants and leave it off. I’m a fixed belt hater though.
Take before and after pics. It'll be interesting to see how it turns out!Schott replied today and said they could fix it with matching leather so I will be sending it off. yessss this. Schott needs to start doing full belts that can be removed. I'd probably own another 2-3 jackets of theirs if it had that option.Schott replied today and said they could fix it with matching leather so I will be sending it off.
