Bartender Comments: This is a useful thread with plenty of great information about how to avoid being scammed. We would just ask at this point that people exercise caution with the 'name and shame' approach before considering whether there is a genuine explanation.

Trust is indeed a cornerstone of these Classifieds.

TFL, due to its nature, is not able to offer the sort of intermediation or buyer protection that eBay or paypal seek to provide. That said, if there is clear evidence of a member scamming other members, the management would appreciate being informed via pm to the Bartenders.

On the point raised about PMs - no, moderators do not have access to your private message facility.

I was the one working with Peter mackin. Little bit of leap of faith for me. No t sure why f and f is safer for seller

F&F is safer for the seller, I believe, because Paypal provides buyer protection for business transactions, for a fee. If you send money F&F, there are no buyer protections, and therefore, no threat of hassle to the seller if the buyer is unhappy.
