I don't know. It all depends on how the measurements suit your tastes. Compare it to a jacket that fits you well, maybe?. It's the length of the body of the jacket that's problematic for me.

Hi Baron! I've got 33.5" arms, my chest is 48" over the shoulder, 40" about the breast and under the arm. I usually wear between a 35 (vintage sizing) and a 38 (contemporary sizing) but in a Short length. My question is, do you think that your beautiful airman's blue pin-striped 3pc would fit me, length-wise, or is it too long? I recall reading that it was a 36 Long. I look forward to hearing back from you and as always; Beautiful suit, sir!

I would say, tbh, that 30" length (airforce blue suit) would be too long for someone who normally wears a short. In vintage terms for a size 36, a short would be about 27-28 inches long. This suit jacket is 30" long, excluding the collar which would put it in the longer side of regular for vintage suit jackets.

I don't understand - your chest measures 40" but you wear a size 35 vintage jacket? That doesn't sound physically or mechanically possible …

Original 1940s Lightning sleeve zippers appropriate for RAF Irvin arm zipper repair. But note what I say about the size of the zips, which are slightly smaller than a zip on an original jacket I compared. Despite this, these would not look out of place.

Rare 1930s/40s British men's suit Size 42. Extremely soft high quality worsted wool fabric.

Rare 1940s or 1950s Scottish Harris Tweed suit size 40. Lovely shades of green and brown in this extremely heavy tweed (2.35 kg for the suit!). "Second Type" brown and cream Harris Tweed label with "Made from 100% Pure Wool" which appears to have been discontinued sometime in the middle 50s.

An unknown maker reproduction A2. Painted back "Pistol Packin' Mama" with bombs and Flying Tigers patched. Reasonable early-ish reproduction but the leather's too light.

Yes, that unfortunate darn on the lower leg. If it had had a stripe, I think it would have gone higher.

And tbh, larger stuff doesn't sell as well, despite the apparent legion of people (to judge by the complaining about small stuff availability) seeking it.[huh]
