Badly listed waistcoat

This is listed on ebay as a "1970s style waistcoat". I am guessing the listing was written by someone who doesn't remember the 1970s. I would say it nearer to 1870s (that said, I don't know much about Victorian or Edwardian clothing). But 1970s? Not in my opinion!

General rule of thumb is the smaller it is, the older it might be.

I *might* be able to wear that...but I don't think I'd want to...It doesn't look like it's got far to go before it's consigned to the rubbish-bin.
