Then may the Spirit of the Broad Street Bullies walk with you into the Tube, my man.

I think a back pack is an easy way to carry a lot of things. Much better than carrying a bag on one shoulder that can make you fall over. I just wish more people were cautious, like you Paisley, when they wear them in crowded places. You have the courtesy that many others lack.Paisley said:I wear a backpack. What do I carry in it? An umbrella, a book, my lunch, wallet, keys and a few toiletries. Why don't I carry my stuff in a purse? For one thing, it won't fit. For another thing, I used to have two pinched nerves in my spine. I don't care to have a relapse from putting a lot of weight on one shoulder.
When it's crowded on the bus, I put the backpack in my lap. When I'm on the elevator, I look behind me before backing up. I've never knocked anyone down.

There's nothing more dangerous than a man armed with a parrot pining for the fjords.
The punchline I excluded from my post was..Anyone can walk around with a parrot on their shoulder for all I care. As long as their bird keeps their "business" to themself! lolSefton said:...the first time you get bludgeoned with a budgie you'll care.....[/COLOR]
