I used to have acne and was prescribed medication. But not just any medication, I couldn't only get it from the hospital - not the pharmacy. I think it cost the NHS something like £600 per pack of tablets or something. I also had to have a blood test and pregnancy test each month before they would give me the tablets because if I was pregnant they would have damaged the unborn child. there were tonnes of side effects and my skin got REALLY dry, as did my lips. I also got back aches quite badly. Luckily I didn't get depression which was another side effect.. one girl on the same medication commited suicide from being depressed as a side effect!
