Baby It's Cold Outside

Is it as bad in Australia this summer as it was last year? Last year was like end of the world scarey hot, from everything I read.
(I love this part of the World Wide Web, and this board in particular. "Say, bloke, how's it down at your end of the planet at the moment?" What world we live in.)

Well yesterday was not enjoyable at all, we hit 43 Celsius yesterday but worst of all was that last night Melbourne recorded its equal hottest overnight temperature on record of 30.6 and that wasn't until 8am this morning, most of last night was around 35 Celsius.

Last year was terrible, we hit 47 Celsius on Black Saturday (when the fires were). As to this year, we'll see what happens.

Personally, right at this minute, I'd love some of that snow from the UK and Europe!

No images, but I wish I could show you my view. NY got about a foot also. Last night the temp was just above freezing until very late, but there was snow and wind galore. The result was what i would call a slushzard. But once the temp got down to 29 it started to stick, and now it's just like knee deep frozen glue. Much fun. BUT! "The Cradle Will Rock" will go on as scheduled!

The high today is 62 finally. Still cold for me though.
