all those scenes in the room where the reporters are playing cards.... great bashes in those scenes

I also love how they just walk into an apartment and just throw their hat ...

Laura is such a great movie! Gene Tierney was a knockout! "Spoiler Alert!" And what a pleasant surprise when she isn't dead.

Sorry I missed it this go-round.

Moon, wait till you watch one of those movies when some nervous guy is crumpling up his hat in his hands. I cringe!

You're not alone.

Watching movies on TCM can be a double-edged sword. Even if the movie isn't great, you'll usually see some very desirable hats. Unfortunately, it's a rare occurrence when you're able to find out who made them. Then, of course, there are the subsequent attempts to locate one in your size that isn't completely ruined and/or stupidly expensive...

Great hat flick on TCM the other day... You Can't Get Away With Murder... Bogart Is a rat fink low level thief with the young "kid" sidekick he's grooming when a heist goes wrong and the clerk gets shot with the kid's sister's boyfriend's gun... got it ??... sappy late thirty's plot where the boyfriend goes to jail and is on death row and the kid ( now in prison with Bogey) won't squeal... of course at the last minute all is well with life and romance.
THe first part of the film sports some fedoras that are really great late thirty high crowned swooping diamond bashes ... which when I think of a fedora that's the image that comes immediately to mind...
