Chest 44 to 46, long sleeves (27") and 38-42" waist. BIN seems reasonable for a 1920s tweed suit of such a large size.

Well, certainly in the country. Hiking or riding bicycle. Heck, with an odd pair of normal trousers I would even wear it in the city. I am sure I would get lots of compliments, too.

Seems like a good price for a suit like this. I would wear this hiking in a heartbeat. It would be perfect for hiking the Tahquamenon trails in the fall.

I have been looking at this suit for a few days. It is exactly my size - but would I wear it?

I like tweed but some checks are just too bold (added to the fact that my wife hates them and hates me to wear them). I might wear plus-fours once every five years. If I lived in the countryside, maybe - but I live in suburban London. For me, such an outfit becomes fancy dress rather than everyday wear.
Where I live people would stare at me in that outfit. They wouldn't stare at a man dressed in full Taliban style robe complete with combat jacket, nor would they stare at a man dressed completely in a white leisure suit made from the cheapest nylon, or a man in an orange silk suit with ridiculously pointed crocodile skin shoes. But me in bold check tweed plus fours would get too much attention.

That said, had the suit been in a ginger herringbone tweed, I might be wearing it by now.

Where at in Michigan, Nick? Anywhere around the Ann Arbor area? And to my experience, good tailoring in Michigan is virtually nonexistent.

Great suit

Nick, and i was thinking you were a born and bred Yorkshire lad ! ;)

Well, my interest in plus fours was born and bred in Yorkshire ;)

Very far from Ann Arbor, up in the U.P. I've been looking at jobs downstate, though.
