AVI A1 anyone???

Anyone any experience with the AVI A1???

There are threads on this label already and it takes 30 seconds to find them. I have no interest in this cheap knock-off bunch - you're better off ordering them from eBay for almost 1/3 of the price if you want one - but I deem this type of thread highly suspicious.

1) "that cheap knock off bunch" produces pretty good stuff for the money. They're no ELC, but you'd be surprised how good their products are. I own an AVI G-1, and it's not too far from some high-end G-1s I've tried.

2) The ones that are available on Ebay at 1/3rd the price, are not AVI. They were made in the same factory, but they have different hardware, and they are being sold without AVI's consent AFAIK.

So, if you want a decent repro, and are willing to give up on a bit of accuracy in terms of details, but still want a nicely built A-1 without spending a fortune, I'd say go for it.

I have an AVI A-1 and it's a quality jacket. Purchased directly from AVI LTHR in Denmark. There is another thread about the AVI A-2 with very good reviews. I wouldn't disregard this brand.

Yeah I saw the reviews from Greg and Brett and they where one reason for me to buy their G1 - I`m specificly after pics of the A1 ...

i`m aware of the AVI reviews which already exist on different forums but was asking specifically for A1

have you ever had one of their garment available for a check and comparison? if not you are - from my point of view - simply not in a position to judge about the quality of their stuff

i`m considering whether to get one of their Broncos or a A1 (yeah I know difference of the "styles" is pretty huge) and I'm looking after pics of real people wearing them - not that skinny, youngish looking models on the AVI hp ... (no offence against any youngsters on the forum)

Not AVI as only in Russet at the moment.Shawn (Fivestar leather) has upgraded his A1 and in my preferred dark seal.It's also made of 1.2 goatskin Not Capeskin although I believe Shawn Mey be making Capeskin A1's in the future?
