Autumnal Thoughts........

Mine like squirrels.
Of course the thrill is over in about 5 seconds, as the squirrel crosses the cable line or fence, well above both of my girls.
Mine know about cats, but don't see them very often.
And when they do, they are always supervised, because both of my girls can easily jump a 4ft fence.
It's more curiosity than anything with them, but should one jump the other one is right behind her.
I can't try to catch 2 fast dogs in hot pursuit, so it's best to keep that from happening in the first place.

Zeus likes squirrels---with BBQ sauce. The neighbor has a huge tree with squirrels in it. Man, he hates that tree.

I've had them in all the colors (I had them multicolored).
Can't say about the color in particular.. but male kitties are less moody. lol

Just about every cat I've raised has been a sweetheart. My best one was Sylvester, a black and white long hair. He would let you pet him but only if I were there. He slept on my back.
When I was taken away and put into foster care, I checked back with the neighbors later. They said he died within a week, refused to eat, move, or do anything.

Yup, they do that.
Being a "crazy cat girl" (owner of 6 cats) who lives on the close distance from a Magistral Road, I experienced all sorts of things happening to my cats (and, yes, James - some of them I had to scrape off the road)

Last night I was taking a nap on the sofa in the living room and the next moment I felt this thud on my chest and I opened my eyes to see Principe Luis's face staring at me. First time he's ever done that. Usually he likes to sit on the back of the couch to look out the window.

Around here, Autumn is synonymous with deer hunting season. They actually close the schools on opening day.

Unfortunately, it also signals the beginning of basketball season.

Might as well just stuff toilet paper in my nose and squint my eyes.

Yup, they do that.

Cats, as much as cute&cuddly they might look, DO NOT belong indoors.
They have a job, you know?
We don't just keep them 'cause they have a good "meow": they hunt the Nasty Rodents (or they are free to hit the Road)
