The only good reason I can think of.
I love Fall! Its my favorite time of year. My father always told me that when the little yellow butterflies beginning to migrate to wherever they are going, you know that the season is about to change. sure enough, there are little yellow butterflies everywhere here...more and more each day. Now the mornings are cooler and some of the leaves are changing colors. The little Yellow butterflies know!
I stepped outside this morning and could feel fall in the air today. Don't like it one bit. That means winter's on the horizon.
HEY! [bad] No negative thinking! Go with positive thoughts: autumn is divine for it's golden and bronze colors.
That is so cute! I'll have to look out for the yellow butterflies
Fourth, (take note AtomicEraTom) the pipe is at it's best in the Fall.
Don't get me wrong, I love fall. It's beautiful, and the temp is perfect, I don't like it too hot and it's much more bearable for working on my place and on my cars. I just hate that pesky, cold, white, season that follows.
I'm really looking forward to fall. I'm going on my first ever backpacking trip in the Hoosier National Forest in southern Indiana the third week of October. The fall colors should be in their prime.
Second, the foliage. Long walks, the contrast of colors, and leaf fights!
Thirdly, that great crisp air in the mornings that always reminds you that you're alive.

Winter in Wisc is pretty brutal. I was stationed at Great Lakes Naval States and spent a lot of time in Chicago and Milwaukee. The winters took some getting used to. Someone might thump ya on the ear and you'd want to cry. Youd wait til summer to get into a fight coz it hurt so much.I stepped outside this morning and could feel fall in the air today. I'm sorry, if you don't mind I have to jump on this one too...
Autumn is the single best season there is:
First, it leads you right into the Holiday Season, my favorite time of the year and one that always seems to tame the Scrooge.

I too dislike the heat - always easier to find ways to get warm than needing ways to stay cool!
