I'll be doing an internship with an entertainment lawyer in Atlanta over the summer. I've only ever driven through Atlanta before, so was wondering what things I should do, places I should eat at, or places I should visit while I'm up there. Any thoughts?

Tons of stuff in Atlanta!
Let me know when you get in town and I will show you some things I have found. World of Coke, Aquarium, onion rings at the Varsity, breakfast at the Landmark Diner, etc.
I can even get you a nice hot towel shave!

LOL, I'm from St. Petersburg, Florida (across the bridge from Tampa), so heat and humidity are old friends of mine. After a storm, I can hang my shirts out the window to steam out the wrinkles.

LOL, I completely agree. I live in north Atlanta (for about 11 years now) and I despise it here....coming from the nice warm -but dry- Utah. Gosh I miss Salt Lake City.
And honestly, I can't find much to do here that caters to my interests. Well, I guess going through Little 5 points can be pretty interesting with the unique way of life down there

well, Zoo Atlanta is nice. If you like Pandas that is. If you're lucky, you might catch "Brew at the Zoo" where local microbreweries have beer booths set up at various spots in the zoo, so you drink with the wild creatures.

Also, if you're one of those people who have never been to a Sonic, but because of cable TV been exposed to all those commercials for all the yummy Sonic drinks you are in for a treat.

Radio: Project 96.1 :D

Dance your buns off!

Heres a couple of links to get you started, when we visit anywhere, we look up dance clubs in the area and give it a whirl. Most of these venues will at least appreciate your vintage spin, to boot! What better way to get to know some folks. :cheers1: Atlanta is on our list to visit in June as is Savannah and Columbus Ga and I plan to dance in all of them. Ya Whoo!

Where?? Please don't say Lion's Den in Scottdale.

I used to recommend burgers at The Vortex but they have gone downhill in the past year or so.

Stone Mountain Park is great for a Saturday or Sunday.

Shopping, to me, is very frustrating. To have a city so large and to not have one decent hat shop is mind boggling.

Chattanooga is a great weekend getaway.

What do you enjoy doing?

Yep that was me! what show did you see? Please tell me not the Roller Derby...Yikes that was a scary show.
We have another one coming up on the 30th! Come out and see me and get your picture taken with one of the lovely ladies :)

Hot towel shave at American Haircuts on the corner of 10th and W. Peachtree. www.americanhaircuts.com It's a very lovely and vintage in a modern way place.

It's nice to see some others from Atlanta on here. We should all get together for a lunch or dinner in our vintage duds before it gets to hot.

I don't live in Atlanta, but I am only 130 miles away. For me, if your budget will permit, be sure to visit some of the wonderful places to dine in Atlanta. Not one of my more favorite towns but great eating to be done.:)
