I looked at some of the links to Target mrch. and saw a page on vests. I particularly liked on gray windowpane vest. It is actually part of a suit!
Surprisingly, an all wool suit at that.

George Pants at Walmart $5.

I don't know where the Walmart is in Berkeley or if there is one here. But I got some George trousers for an insane $5 each from the online store. They don't have all the sizes one might want, but I found black W36 L32 and tan W36 and L34. $5 each, gents, and much lower waist than I'd like but pretty nice for $5. And they are not polyester but natural fabric.

They arrived fast, too.

I found the Stacy Adams Madison boots at the local "Out of the Closet" (this IS the San Francisco Bay) for $6. Beaten up, but that's OK. It's a little difficult to wear as I am an ex-punk (as is most of the "swing" scene in SF) and I'm used to heavier (Doc Marten) boots, so these feel a little lite-in-the-loafers. But they are cool nonetheless.

Don't any of these approach that? At $5 you cannot go wrong, even if the tailoring costs a bit.

I normally wear a W36 and L33-34, but the L32 is pretty good and the L34 slightly too long.
